Hi and welcome to our website,
Riverview Community Services operates a broad range of programmes aimed at assisting people to improve their life circumstances, through education and support. We want to help people be the best that they can be!!
One of our services, 'signposts' is an information and referral service, on a case management model. We have an extensive data base of services within WA, so that people looking for assistance can visit us for advice and information about their next step. Signposts also includes some financial assistance for people experiencing a sudden change in their life circumstances.
Our Powerhouse and Just for kids teams are a bunch of dynamic and highly creative young people, recently graduated from high school . They present life skills and values lessons to both primary and high school students in innovative ways. In 2003 this programme won a community award.
Our professional counselling service is a fee paying service, where clients are treated with the utmost care in a highly confidential setting.
MOMENTUM is the name of our life skills courses: because we believe it is all about moving forward; whether it be in a relationship, beyond a relationship, after childhood abuse, or just travelling the life journey.
Our Car Program is well known in the State, and recently our wonderful team of mechanics gave away our 90th car. We welcome sponsors, car donors, volunteers and recipients.
Riverview Basketball operates in community based venues on Saturdays and after school on weeknights. Our competition is all about fun, friendship and fitness - and has a wonderul sense of community about it.
Community Visitors Scheme - is a Commonwealth funded scheme that supports people who volunteer to visit lonely residents of aged care facilities.
We also are involved in special projects throughout the year, with our favourite being 'TREE OF HOPE'. This is our annual christmas gift and treat giving project. Each year we have thousands of gifts and funds donated, and are able to bless people in need in our community.
If you would ike to know more about any of our programs, would like to get involved by volunteering, or by financially supporting a project that you are inspired by, we would love to chat to you, so feel free to contact our office on 9 416 0100.
Best Wishes,
Donna Smith

"Your preparation, use of power point presentation, students and follow up activities were first class - a wonderful effort that was thoroughly appreciated by myself and most certainly by the student group."
