Riverview Community Services’ committed staff, volunteers and students provide services to assist people who find themselves in difficult circumstances of financial and domestic hardship in matters relating to:

Where an issue has an impact on the broader community we may participate in social policy and law reform processes (through WACOSS), where we advocate on behalf of the community in relation to social security, disability and discrimination issues affecting our client groups.

How We Work

We provide for you:

  • A safe environment.
  • Information to you on the services we offer.
  • A respectful, courteous and professional service where we listen to your concerns.
  • Responses to your enquiries and requests for information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • A referral to an alternate contact point if we are unable to provide the service you need.
  • Access to services is between 9am – 3pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday by appointment.

Appointments can be made by ringing (08) 9416-0100 Monday – Thursday during office hours 9am- 5pm.

What we ask from you

Should we proceed with assistance, we ask that you:

  • Sign an Authority to Act.
  • Provide us with all the relevant information about your issue.
  • Provide us with documents related to your issue when requested.
  • Where appropriate, explain your expectations of our service.
  • Follow our advice.
  • Tell us what is the best way to contact you.
  • Contact us if anything relating to your issue changes.
  • Tell us if you change your phone number or address.
  • Keep appointment times. If you can’t keep an appointment notify us in advance.
  • Be patient and courteous to our staff. We understand you may be frustrated and experiencing difficulties, however our staff are here to help you.
  • Understand that we can’t solve every problem.
