Emergency Relief
Through our Emergency Relief program, we offer food parcels and assistance with bill payments to people experiencing hardship. In the last year, we've assisted over 650 people who found themselves in crisis. Appointments for Emergency Relief are available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-1pm.
We need practical and compassionate people to help with a variety of tasks to make this program possible.

Community Visitors Scheme
The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) is an Australian Government initiative which aims to support elderly people in aged care facilities who may be lonely and at risk of social isolation. We provide visitors for residents whose quality of life would be enriched by friendship and companionship.
We are always looking for volunteers who would enjoy building a one-to-one relationship with a resident, making a commitment to visit the person on a regular basis for one hour per fortnight.

Street Teams
Riverview Street Teams exists to assist individuals and families in crisis with short-term practical support. Our team comes alongside people who do not have the means or capacity to complete basic household and yard chores. The duration and frequency of our assistance is dependent upon each individual situation. We aim to offer friendship, practical help and empowerment to enable people to get ahead and feel more in-control of their situation.
Street Teams is always looking for practical, hands-on people who want to make a difference in our community, one story at a time.

Asylum Seeker Hub
Our Asylum Seeker Hub runs on a weekly basis to provide an easy access point for people seeking refuge to receive information and services from a wide range of agencies related to their legal, psychological, welfare and social needs. We partner with the lead agencies in Perth who are working with Asylum Seekers.
In partnership with a pro bono legal service in Perth, we also run a free visa administration clinic. By working with a bilingual volunteer from the community, a person in need of assistance is able to get the practical help they need to get their paperwork completed.

CAP Debt Centre
In partnership with Christians Against Poverty (CAP), Riverview CAP Debt Centre provides a free debt management service for anyone in the community. Through CAP, thousands of families have been released from the burden of debt through a combination of budgeting advice, creditor liaison and personal support.
We need a team of dedicated, skilled and compassionate volunteers willing to support clients struggling with debt. If you are available during the week we would love to hear from you.

Gift-Giving Projects
Through our Gift-Giving Projects, we aim to bless those in our community that are doing it tough. Through a variety of different campaigns, we distribute gifts to individuals, groups and organisations to provide hope and dignity.
We need a team of practical people who love lending a hand for specific projects. If you love practical tasks and are available during the week, we would love to partner with you.

Tree of Hope
Tree of Hope is our annual Christmas gift giving project, bringing joy to kids in need.
Every year through the generous donations of our Riverview Community, we raise enough funds to buy over 2000 gifts which we wrap and distribute through community agencies, women’s refuges, schools and our overseas partner projects.
You can donate throughout the month of December in person at a Riverview service, or donate online. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
